Wellspring Grocery in Durham has two Pings on sale for $2 each. I
don't know one Ping from another so I can't tell what the species
is. They also have a small S. rubra and some D. filiformis (I
think) for $5 or $6 each (not such a bargain). I picked up an S.
minor for $2 yesterday. I don't know why some of these are marked
down and others aren't; my S. minor looks about as well as can be
expected (a little tattered from store travel). I spoke to the
manager of the flower dept. and she assured me that the nursery
they purchased these CPs from propogates and does not field
collect.
To get to Wellspring take the Durham Freeway (147) to the Swift
Ave. exit. At the top of the ramp turn north. Cross the bumpy
railroad tracks and Wellspring is on the left.
Also, I haven't heard from anyone about trips to Weymouth Woods
or the Green Swamp. I know some of you are interested because
I've spoken to you about it, but I don't have all of your email
addresses (or the ones I have bounce). If you're interested in a
