I have been fascinated by CP's for several years now, and within the last
couple of years have had some successes, and failures [:(, propagating VFTs.
I also have a D. californica that is doing excellent. I just returned from a
trip to find two new D. californica's sprouting at the edge of of the pot
the parent is planted in. The parent plant is potted in the center of a 12"
pot, and is planted in 100% live sphagnum moss. There is a really thick root
from the two sprouts going down into the pot. No flower from this plant yet,
but it is still reproducing.
Anyone know how old the Darlingtona must be before flowering? This is the
first full season that I have had the plant. It was purchased last spring
and had pitchers about 5" tall. This spring the first two pitchers shot upto
about 7-8" tall, and the rest of the pitchers are about 2-3". Any one know
why?
Look forward to contributing what I can to the news service. Talk to you all
later.
