VFT Outside

I have moved my VFT's outside for the past month since I moved
into a new "previously owned" house. They are doing fantastic. The
sit in a tray with 1"-2" water and get partial shade most of the day.
I don't know how, but ants seem to be able to cross the water climb
the pots and get eaten. Perhads they take some miniture ant ferry I
can't see. Besides ants and misc. flying insects the next best prey
has been daddy long-leg spiders. For four straight days I have had an
additional spider caught each night. I especially like the way the
legs stick out of the traps and still move one or two days after
capture.

Anyway, two of the flytraps are in bloom. Four were in bloom but
my three year old son decided to pick the flowers. Should I allow
natural polination or polinate them myself using a paint brush?
