What about fossil records? There are other things, but I think at
least that deserves to be called a small shred of evidence.

The 2nd law of thermo was created by people trying to understand
things
like steam engines, back a long time ago, and has a tendency to be
missused.
What is dissorder and what is not is highly subjective. Using the 2nd
law one
could say that a chicken could never produce an egg since it would be
increasing order (chicken feed -> egg).
In any case I urge anyone who wants to continue this discussion
to
please take it off the group and write directly, since we are here to
talk about carnivorous plants. :)
In that spirit, a question; I have some sundews I keep outside
in a
terrarium where their leaves are getting covered with very small flower
pedals from a nearby bush. It would be hard for me to move the plants
around since my yard is mostly shade and the area near the bush is the
only sunny spot. Should I get a screen for the top? (wide enough holes
to let bugs through but too small for pedals). Should I not even worry
about this?
The other day I had a very pleasant conversation with Tom
Buckman and
talked about those of us in the chicago land area getting together
sometime.
Had mentioned it before on the group but I think it might be a good
idea to
mention it again now that summer is here and (hopefully) people have
more time.
One idea was to meet at the conservatory in Chicago. Are people still
interested?
