My two penn'orth, late as usual.

Agricultural studies show that the best time to harvest seed, for optimum
germination, is when the plant wants you to have them. Even though the
seed pod is sitting at the top of a dead flower stalk which is transmitting
no nourishment, it seems to be doing the seeds some good. Personally,
come late Summer, my Darlingtonia looks pretty stupid with bags tied
over the flower heads!

Good Growing, NigelH
