re: propagating Binata/ seed harvesting

Here at UConn we wait for the first couple of capsule to dry and split and
then bend the flower stalk over so the seeds will drop out on their own onto
the sphagnum in the pot. (We grow in 5.5" square) After a month or two there
is a small forest of new seedlings coming up and we pot them up when large
enough.

of course if you want to collect and store the seed then you will need to
come up with some way to capture the seed as it matures and falls out.
Perhaps taping a glassine envelope to the flower stalk after bending so the
seeds wind up in the envelope. Be sure to keep moisture out of the envelope
though...
