In light of this, I would perfer man-eating plants also. Or
better yet chigger-eating plants! ;) Anyway, remember how I
mentioned that I've never had experience with chiggers or even
spoke with someone who has? Well it rather funny since my
mother came back from vaction with a bite on her ankle yesterday.
The pin-prick size red dot had grown to the size of a large
pimple in three days and looks a lot like poison ivy. It's a
good thing she only got one. Appearently they don't borrow into
to the skin, Fernando, and only remaim on an animal for 1 to 24
hours. During this time the bite will look like a small zit and
the chigger can be removed from the center the red mark if it
hasn't let go yet. AFTER the mite is gone is when the bite really
starts iching/hurting.

P.S. the books I read this in also mentioned that chiggers in
other lands may be able to give you some nasty diseases, so
look out!
