Tomatoe Soil

What is the best planting soil for tomatoes, and how moist should you
keep that soil?

I realize that this is not a CP question, but I cannot think of a
better group to whom to forward this question. CPs are notoriously
picky about their soil, and we have quite a few people here who
understand soil issues really well. You can send responses to me
privately if you feel strongly that this doesn't belong on the list.
