Greetings, my name is Paul and I am new to growing carnivorous plants. I
bought a venus fly trap at a local grocery store in April and a pitcher
plant, of what species I do not know. Both plants are doing quite well,
thanks to the wonders of the world wide web. I currently live in Illinois,
and while the summers are hot and humid, the winters are quite harsh. I am
hoping for advice and information regarding the care of my plants when
winter 'blows' in. They are both in sphagmum peat moss, and kept
well-watered (distilled water only!) and in direct sunlight. I keep them
outdoors where they help reduce the populations of the indigenious
insects. Thanks again.

Paul
