There is wide variation in both flower colour and petal
shape in the much under rated P.moranensis. Colour range
through the usual mauve/violet/purples/pinks through to
scarlet red and pure white. Some forms are multicoloured
having degrees of veining or yellow throat streaks, and
patches and spots of other colours.

P.grandiflora flower colour varies from very dark purple
through to pure white. Some of the geographical colour
variants include the forms rosei and pallida. Earlier in the
year I was shown some photographs by Hans Luhrs of
P.grandiflora from Rio Ara (? spelling) with the most
strange reddish purple colour that defies the imagination.

Hope this helps.
