Sorry, I'm not from Canada, but I will try and help with the questions....

Need more info here..... I grow a couple hundred vft's outside, and I just
leave them out over the winter. (protected by a layer of pine branches.
Why don't you want to let them go dormant and how do you plan on growing them?

Does anyone

We have been discussing the plant D. adelae lately, and it sounds to me like
you have the same problem we all seem to run into..... The plant grows
great and when you think it couldn't look any better - IT DIES FOR ***NO***
REASON!
They really seem to like high humidity. My best plants at the moment are
growing beneath the nepenthes in an enclosed, humidified terrarium. They
are five inches wide and are putting out dozens of plants from the roots.

The way I maintain them is to keep breaking off little plants and spreading
them around my collection, so I always have some in that "looking great,
just about to die" stage.

Hope this helps.

Take care & keep on growing,
