Just one comment - you could probably make life a bit easier on the
incandescents by putting them on a dimmer rather than a timer switch.
That way you can just use the dimmer to provide a consistent heating
rather than the bang-bang (i.e. full on/full off) cycle you have at
the moment. I used this approach to make a heater to nurse sick
animals, it worked quite nicely - to stop the beasties getting dazzled
I slipped a tennis ball tin over the light but that is not necessary
in this case.
