Thanks for your posting. There is a carnivorous plant listserv, with about
300 members. I believe (let me know if this is incorrect) you subscribe by
sending, in the body of your message "SUBSCRIBE CP (your e-mail address)" to
Listserv@hpl.hp.com. If that doesn't work, I'll find out for real <grin>.

I have about 200 carnivorous plants in my collections, virtually all genera
(with a few exceptions ... Nepenthes and Drosophyllum and Bibliflora). Most I
grow outdoors (northern Virginia) with the rest in a very rough-greenhouse
made out of shower curtains, growlights and an IKEA shelving unit.

Members of the listserv are constantly trading, giving, and/or selling
plants. (I've always got extras of something).

Commercially, there are several reputable nurseries. The closest to you is
California Carnivores, in Forestville, CA, just north of San Francisco.
(write if you need more info)

I'm curious as to what you currently grow (orchids or otherwise) ... do you
have a growlist available? (and I'd be happy to send you mine as well if
you're interested).

Hope to speak with you soon, and thank you for the welcome.
