I do hate these Germans (being German myself) who have plundered the
habitats of _Pinguicula casabitoana_ (which is not necessarily
endemic to DR because it may very well be conspecific with the Cuban
_P. lignicola_). Whether the species is actually rare or not, this
kind of behaviour is not allowed to anyone, and this should
especially be kind of self-evident for those (comparatively rich)
tourists who visit (comparatively poor) foreign countries. I can not
see any excuse or reason for this crime, and I am ashamed of my
countrymen who committed it.
Anyone who buys/trades plants of _Pinguicula casabitoana_ (maybe under
the lable of _P. lignicola_) from this German source (which at the
moment is still fortunate enough to be unknown to me!) must feel
guilty of the destruction of its natural site. Happy growing!
