In my experience Drosophyllum can be transplanted whilst
they are still small plants and if you are careful. I raise
my plants by sowing all the seed into one pot, and carefully
removing the seedlings as they appear into individual 6cm
pots. Once the seedlings are 5 to 10cms tall I remove the
plant and compost from the 6cm pot and place them into 20 to
30 cm pots. These larger pots I pre fill will compost and
form a 'well' in the compost the same size as the 6cm pot.
This way the plant and the compost can be placed into the
larger pot with the minimum disturbance to the root system.

When I first started growing Drosophyllum I used Slacks 2
pot method, however the plants grown this way never lived as
long as plants planted into 1 large pot.
