          Yes it is. There was a short article and photo by Alfred Lau
          (the man who discovered it) in CPN a few years back. It is
          the only Mexican Ping that I know of which has trapping
          glands on both sides of the leaves.

          The plant has some similarities to _P.agnata_ but I have not
          had the opportunity to compare _P.gigantea_ flowers against
          various _P.agnata_ clones. Neither have I read Hans Luhrs
          paper.

          Jan, do I interpret from this that you are not convinced
          that _P.gigantea_ and _P.agnata_ are different? I would like
          to hear your opinions on this plant and Luhrs description.
