The first (organizational) meeting of the
National Capital Carnivorous Plant Society (NCCPS)
will be held Saturday, June 28, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at
Green Springs Garden Park (in the library), Alexandria, Virginia.
Rough agenda includes working out society organizational details,
and a plant show/trade/sale. I'm also trying to schedule a
presentation on "CP of the DC area" and a CP raffle.
Ideally, the club will include a regular newsletter, field
trips (US Botanical Gardens, local CP sites, etc.) and
an "adopt a bog" project with the Garden Park.
