Howdy all,
Last summer, I obtained some Drosera regia seeds as part of an order from
Silverhill seeds in South Africa. The Drosera seeds looked a little the worse
for wear, so not really expecting them to germinate, I simply sprinkled them on
a pot of live sphagnum in a little 10 gallon terrarium.
Well, one of them did germinate, so now I have a tiny baby D. regia It occurs
to me that I know very little about the species. The terrarium is Drosera
adelae heaven: even warmth and low lighting. Will this be o.k. for D. Regia? I
suspect D. regia will want brighter light and cooler temps. How about potting
media? Should I transplant it to peat/sand when it gets a bit bigger? The live
sphagnum is pretty soggy.
Thanks in advance.
