Depending on where you live, your VFT may be just breaking out of
dormancy. Dormant VFTs are not interested in eating. It might also be a
lack of sunlight. I had a VFT that got very little direct sun (I lived
in a shaded apartment). Its traps were always sluggish at best.

Another way of looking at it -- are you sure that bugs are stimulating
the trigger hairs? Perhaps the right-sized bug just has not come along
yet.
