Subject: Giberellic Acid

Dear Matt,

        If you ask here for giberellic acid in a garden center, they might
well think you're the first alien from Mars, or at least an addict. No,
here's some US adresses of well-known suppliers of (bio)chemicals, which
do have giberellins:

- Sigma Chemical Company, P.O. Box 14508, St. Louis, Missouri
63178-9916: they have several giberellins (not only the acid or GA3); ask
for their special 'Plant Tissue Culture' catalogue, containing also other
phytohormones;

- E.M. Sciense (the German 'Merck'), 480 Democrat Road, Gibbstown,
N.J. 08027. They have GA3 'for synthesis', a lower quality (purity) which
is cheaper and still suited for your purpose.

Kind Regards,

G. VdK
