Several years ago, the Missouri Conservationist magazine stated that the
only native carnivorous plant to Missouri is the common bladderwort.
(Being a Kansas City native, I was disappointed to learn that.) I'd say go
north for the best variety nearest to you in Hannibal. The S. purpurea and
several drosera species are found in WI, MI.....I think IA and IL have some
drosera species.
