I do not understand the "danger" of silica sand when mixing
the planting substrate. You should think about much more
"danger" when the wind is blowing and you are outside the
house. The dust that is in the air consists mostly of silica dust.
I very seldom saw people wearing dust filters when walking
along or jogging.
