Dear Cyril,
Mimosa pudica grows best in very moist conditions: wet soil (grows
naturally along river sides), high humidity and almost full sunshine.
Under these circumstances, it will also flower and fruit regularly. It is
easily propagated by seed. Since the plants' strategy is to withdraw water
to its roots when touched (resulting in the 'hanging down' look),
multiplication by cuttings may not be easy.
Note that it may be fun to touch it, but as with our VFT's,
regular 'irritation' can cause death of your plant! Be warned.
Friendly regards,
Guy VdK
