Hello you all ,
With all the varietys of my beloved Dionaea muscipula coming out of
tissue culture, where will it ever end . There are some nice mutations out in
the market place now. With that said, which leads to my first question .What
should I call the sawtooth variety of V.F.T.s. I have seen labels like Dente
, Denta , Dentata ,
and others. Ron G. at ABG gave me the first one 4 or 5 years ago . It was
labled as Dentate . So I looked it up in a big old Websters Dictionary and
here's what I found out. dentate , toothed having a sharp, sawlike edge .
It is this that better describes the short dentiles of the outside edge of
the leaves . I would like to hear comments from others on this subject.
Thanks,
David Crump
