Subject: Wintering pygmies/chile

Hi all. Now there's a wintry nip in the air in the Southern
Hemisphere, I'm wondering, how do I look after my
pygmies over the winter?? They are ones I grew from gemmae last
spring so this is their first winter. At present they are outside in
a cold frame - do they need more protection, drying out, or what? It
is mild here, no frosts.

For the correspondant from Chile - I think NZ must have similar
quarantine restrictions. I and others have found it easy to get
seeds into the country, much easier than getting whole live plants.
