David,
  The benefits of a terrarium are: they provide high
humidity, controlled lighting, overall a near natural
environment that can't be produced unless you live near the
natural habitat of the species you want to grow. Can
anyone add to this?

Rice (who is also on this list, I think) also has a
terrarium page on his website, it is located at

  It is definetely worth having one.
