Subject: Raging Borneo and nepenthes

I'm concerned about the state of the nepenthes in areas such as Borneo
which are currently consumed by fire; natural, or via slash&burn that got
out of hand.
Though they may not be subject to the fires, sunlight blockage (of any
signifcant amount) and pollutants in the air seem to be a possible hazard
to the plants. Though I'm sure they have survived it before.
Just thought I'd bring it up.
