I haven't seen this mentioned yet in the Chat Line, but the Bay Area
Carnivorous Plant Society (BACPS) decided last week to host the International
Convention in May of 2000. It will probably be held at the Berkeley
Botanical Gardens across the bay from San Francisco. Most likely the third
weekend in May, just before Memorial Day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Then a
field trip way up north near Oregon to see Darlingtonia, Pinguicula, and
Drosera in the wild. Fun! Keep this in mind when planning vacations...you've
got a whole year and a half to save money for it! Peter D'Amato
