Dear Matt,

This is a fairly high percentage compared to Europe (0% unaltered),
but it is little if the high degree of endemism in Madagascar is
taken into account.

Yes, the cp database (http://www.hpl.hp.com/bot/cp_home) can do this
for you.

_Drosera burkeana_ Planch. (widespread, in cultivation)
_Drosera humbertii_ Exell & Laundon (endemic)
_Drosera indica_ L. (widespread, in cultivation)
_Drosera madagascariensis_ DC. (widespread, in cultivation)
_Drosera natalensis_ Diels (widespread, in cultivation)
_Nepenthes madagascariensis_ Poir. (endemic, in cultivation)
_Nepenthes masoalensis_ Schmid-Hollinger (endemic, in cultivation)
_Genlisea margaretae_ Hutch. (also in Africa)
_Utricularia appendiculata_ E.A.Bruce (also in Africa)
_Utricularia arenaria_ A.DC. (widespread, in cultivation)
_Utricularia benjaminiana_ Oliv. (widespread)
_Utricularia bisquamata_ Schrank (also in Africa, in cultivation)
_Utricularia caerulea_ L. (widespread, in cultivation?)
_Utricularia cymbantha_ Welw. ex Oliv. (also in Africa)
_Utricularia firmula_ Welw. ex Oliv. (widespread)
_Utricularia foliosa_ L. (widespread)
_Utricularia foveolata_ Edgew. (widespread)
_Utricularia inflexa_ Forsk. (widespread)
_Utricularia livida_ E.Mey. (widespread, in cultivation)
_Utricularia prehensilis_ E.Mey. (widespread, in cultivation)
_Utricularia reflexa_ Oliv. (widespread)
_Utricularia scandens_ Benj. (widespread)
_Utricularia stellaris_ L.f. (widespread)
_Utricularia subulata_ L. (weed, in cultivation)
_Utricularia welwitschii_ Oliv. (also in Africa)

The only non-cultivated endemic, _D. humbertii_ is apparently
confined to a single mountain range. It is probably not easy to
access. One listener to this discussion list asked about cp travel
information quite a long time ago. I told him that he should look for
_D. humbertii_, but I did never hear from him again about Madagascar.

Kind regards
Jan
