Subject: questions on D'Amoto's book

Hello all-

I had two questions on thing that I read in Peter's book.

First, in the preface on page ix, he mentions a "newly discovered
species growing on glacial ice". Anyone know anything about this?

Second, he states that there is "evidence that D. anglica is in fact a
fertile hybrid between D. rotundofolia and D. linearis." What, exactly
is the evidence of this?
