Hi,
I was reading through the UK wildlife trust magazine "Natural World"
about the threat to UK peatlands. According to the article,94% of
the UK peatlands have been destroyed or damaged. This seems to be
due primarily to the use (or miss use!) by domestic gardeners. The
point is that the Peatlands Campaign Consortium is lobbying the UK
government to try and BAN peat sales by the year 2005. Obvoiously
most CP composts use moss peat as one of the main ingredients.
Has anybody tried with success using peat free composts especially
for Sarracenias,VFT and the like?
Best Regards
