If you use ramshorns (planorbis sp) to control algae, be very
careful. They do an excellent job of eating algae to start off with
(although you may want to change the water to remove their waste
products) but if they run out of algae they will move on to the
choicer plants. I had a piece of Aldrovanda reduced to a skeleton
this way.
