I first noticed the damage when some of the pitchers had round holes
chewed out of the side of the wing. By coincidence, the local paper
ran an article stating that this type of leaf damage was often caused
by weevils and it went on about how to catch them. Anyways, I've
removed 3 weevils currently from the pot, and hopefully that's it,
but I'm wondering if they do damage to the rhizome of the plants as
well, or if they just attack the leaves? > > Also, how do weevils
get around? I'm just wondering why they're only in this one pot, and
not in any of the other Sarrs...yet! > > Thanks in advance! > >

A fair few other people have now reported the same trouble I had. 2
years ago when I moved I bare rooted my entire collection removing the
larva by hand moved it to my new house in plastic bages and repoted at
my new/old location If you lost the directions in your last two moves
I'll send them privetly later. It took 24hrs across 2 days and for part
of that time I haad the help of up to 3 people. I'm happy to say that
even though there are weevils here none have been found in the larval
stage killing my Sarr's
Looking forward to your next visit south
