My mind has not been put at ease. For a scientific argument, your message
contained a great deal of emotional content. I'm sure that mine won't be
the only response.
I'm no PhD, but isn't there a distinction to be made in that the fossil
fuels burned by cars are part of a carbon sink that would't otherwise be
converted to atmospheric emissions?
I also think that there are others reasons to reduce car use, not the
least of which is the fact that air around many large cities is yellow
and difficult to breathe.
Sorry about the offtopic reply etc.... I will not post anything else
regarding this subject. Further discussion (if any) can be addressed to
