Jack and All,

  I have never actually grown D. communis, so I don't know what I was
thinking giving out such generic advice. My head is still frozen from
walking to work. It's supposedly more difficult than a lot of Drosera. I
know that the seed is very short in viability and it grows in peaty, sandy
areas in Brazil.
  What is Peter growing it in?
  Are you sure you don't want non-domant D. intermedia?
  It's easy.
