You are right, Sarracenia seeds do need stratification, and it is odd that 
T&M would omit that information as they are usually pretty good about 
that.  
However, just putting the seeds in the refrigerator does not equal a 
stratification.  The key condition here is *moist cold*.  You need to sow 
the seeds, and then either put the pot in the refrigerator or leave it 
out through the winter.  You don't say where you are so I don't know your 
winter temperatures, but it takes several weeks at approximately 40 
degrees F. to do the trick.  Here we just sow them in the fall and let 
nature do the rest. 
If you still have them, you can put the pots into the refrigerator now or 
outside, and you may still get germination.
