I wonder what your fungus is? Sarracenia sometimes get Botrytis on
dead leaf bases which spreads to the rhizome - this has happened to
some of my older plants this Spring - I think they would probably
have preferred to be in the greenhouse rather than outside (but
undercover) in the Winter, then at least growth would start earlier
and probably overcome the Botrytis attack.

Another possibility is powdery mildew - this sounds more likely if
it's going for Drosera flower stems - it likes Utricularia scapes
too.
