Must be something about the conditions you have them in since the
babies ended up the same way as their parent. Could be that you're not
giving them enough light (do they need more than other Sarrs?). I
suppose it could be a virus, but you'd think it would have spread to your
other plants.
Whether it could be used for breeding _if_ it did have a virus
would depend on the virus. If it was specific to one region, say the
roots, then it may not spread to the seeds.
