I agree with that. I'd guess that the plants won't actually notice
whether they are in soil or not during their dormant period. What's
Winter like in Barcelona - is it *definitely* too hot just to leave
the plants outside? They do fine just left outside here in England,
where it is no doubt a bit cooler. You should get lots of gemmae
round the base of the main resting bud, so you might like to plant
some of those separately.
