peat tea

Hi to all,
I'm back finally after my summer trip to the Canadian maritimes to
do some work on S. purpurea. More on that later. I've been absolutely
swamped with work since my return, and still haven't read all the digests.

I was curious about the discussion on various tea recipes. Has
anyone ever tried the black water extract used to acidify and condition
aquarium water? I can't recall for sure, but I think it's pretty much just
a peat tea concentrate. If there isn't a problem with excess minerals, it
might make an easy way to provide peat extract for plants without all the
mess and bother of making it yourself.

Just a thought.
