Matt,
In any state in the south you run the risk of being bitten by the
Anopheles mosquito and contracting Encephalitis, but the odds are about
the same as getting run over by a train while you are on the way to cash
your winning lotto jackpot ticket. There are certian precautions that
people take and that is probably what you are hearing through the news.
I live close to Interstate 75 and have heard of no huge traffic jams
being caused by people evacuating from Flordia. Visiting CP sites in
Florida and South Georgia are worth the risk. Just spray on insect
repellent and keep on bogging. By the way I don't think you sould try
to get a job with the Florida Tourism Board.
You are welcome to visit South Georgia anytime.
