There is a little story about how a few years back some folk were trying =
to restore a patch of prairie. They had a bit of a short list as to what=
 should be there, but they knew that there had to be more.There was an =
old church in a nearby village and to the church the lads went. There =
amoung the dusty babtismal records were the musings, in Latin, of a Black=
 Robe's hobby. Botany.
You will have to blame Linneaus after all, he chose Latin instead of ??? =

In herbariums, the discriptions of plant and location are usually done =
in the tounge of the collector.
