Hey Michael,

Well, the discription you gave matches that of a Nepenthes seedling. Young
nepenthes look very similar to venus fly-traps, since their stems, leaves, and
pitchers have not matured yet. They are usually a very bright green, much like
venus fly-traps, and they have leaves that appear to be modified into traps,
once again, being very similar to the venus fly-trap. The one characteristic
which is confusing about Nepenthes seedlings is that they have pitchers which
form at the very tip of the leaf blades, which make them appear like traps on
a venus fly-trap. So, it really all depends on the size of the plant. How big
is it anyway?
