Subject: Orthonex

Hi everyone.

I have a rather severe thrip attack taking place on my Darlingtonia.
My Sarracenias are being hit as well. In the past I have used
Orthene with great results. However, seeing that this seems to be a
yearly affair, I am contemplating using Orthonex in place of
Orthene. [Orthonex is Orthene with the addition of a fungicide.]
If I must mess with nasty chemicals to keep my plants alive, then at
least I would like to get it over in as few applications as possible.

If anyone has used Orthenex on their CPs please e-mail me directly and
let me know wether or not it had any harmful effects upon your plants.
I need to know as soon as possible as to wether or not it is safe.
The thrip attack on my Darlingtonia is spreading with alarming speed
and CP digests are only a once a day affair.

Thanks a lot,
--Zachary--
