Hello,
I'm growing (among other things) S. Flava by a sunny window
in San Francisco. Today I noticed one of the younger growing
pitchers suddenly developed a few dark brown splotchy-looking
spots on the trumpet. The biggest one is about half an inch
in length, looks kind of like a stain, and must have
developed within the last 24 hours. I scraped it lightly but
nothing seems to come off. The growing pitcher also seems to
be twisting more than is usual.
The more mature trumpets on the same plant seem to be doing
fine. I mist regularly but do not fertilize.
Any idea what this might be and what I should do about it?
Thanks!
Bill
