Hi, William. I have not tried this myself, so this is just an idea. We have
the same problem in Japan (where I am from), and Darlingtonia is considered
to be very difficult because of its intolerance to heat. There are many
alpine plan growers in Japn, and some of them put pots in stiloform tub
(misspell?). The tub is supposed to keep temperature low, just like ice
cooler. Fortunately, you can keep water inside of the tub, so the situation
might be even better.

I am also aware that there are some pots which keeps temperature low in
Japan. It is like a terracotta (misspell?) wine cooler. Water evapolates
from the surface, and it cools the whole container. Unfortunately, I have
not found a similar pot.
