I currently have a 'Royal Red' trap doing the bifid thing now but it is not
in any unusually hot temps or really challenged in any way.

Unrelated side note: I left the black mesh screen up on my bog the other
weekend thinking the birds may leave it alone. Nope. Lost several of my
seedling VFTs (all red x normal or all red x dentate crosses), several VFt
flower stems, and a few S. psit 'Giant' pitchers. I could find nothing
actually taken - just cut off and flung about.

Unrelated question: I received a VFT last year labelled 'Dentate CSUF'. Now
that it has put out several adult traps, it looks just like other VFTs I've
seen labelled as 'Shark's tooth'. Does anyone have both so they can explain
the difference between the two?
